Rachel joined Trek and Trust fall of 2025. Her primary practice area is family law; she also has experience in criminal law and extensive knowledge in child protection. She has significant successful trial experience and appellate experience.
Her interest in family law sprouted when she was nine years old when her parents got divorced. That process lasted four years and permanently severed her relationship with her biological father. She had to testify against her father in a jury trial for a violation of an order for protection at just ten years old, and she had to attend supervised visitations. When she tells you that she understands the gravity of these cases, she means it.
Rachel received her bachelor’s degree from Hamline University and attended law school at the University of San Diego. She has focused her career on children and victims of domestic violence. She volunteered at Ana Marie’s Alliance women’s shelter in St. Cloud, and at the Chula Vista Domestic Violence Clinic in San Diego. She served as an active board member for the Advocates for Children and Education. She’s received recognition for her dedication to providing pro bono legal services and she graduated law school with a concentration in children’s rights, receiving the “Outstanding Child Advocate” award.
She cares deeply about a fair and just process, and access to compassionate, experienced legal services. She has a calm, practical approach, and is resolution-focused, but acknowledges that sometimes litigation and trial are necessary.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys playing volleyball and being in nature; specifically, hiking and Boundary Waters trips.
